Challenge
Holmes Noble needed a modern refresh for their website. Whilst there weren’t any functional problems to solve, the previous website design was not as aesthetically pleasing as it could be.
The main objective of the website revamp was to provide Holmes Noble with an updated website that was engaging for clients to use. The new website was to have an abstract design and convey the feeling of a magazine. This was also the main challenge of the redesign as it had to not complicate the user journey.
Response
The design team used innovative web elements to deliver the proposed design aesthetic such as an interactive map and step-by-step process buttons. This enabled an engaging user journey through the site. Abstract imagery was used to fulfil the design brief and Digital Glue paid huge attention to typography. The typeface used for headlines and titles conveyed an overall editorial design, without delving too far into the abstract design, thus prioritising the user journey..
The design team concentrated on making sure the new design was conducive to a positive customer experience of the website, whilst ensuring the new web experience met the aesthetic requirements of the proposed brief. All this was delivered in just 5 months, meaning Holmes Noble could continue to exist as a leader in talent advisory, encompassing executive search and leadership development initiatives.
